This sunflower photoshoot at Waimanalo County Farms was so much fun to shoot, as we were laughing almost the entire time. My couple wanted to capture their love right now as they had been married for a few years and were wanting to add a baby to their family.
After being rained out the day before, we weren’t sure if our session would even happen but the sky kept back the rain until our photoshoot was done. Overcast skies can bring some really great light (hello golden hour) without all of the blinding sunset rays in your eyes, which makes this moody shoot a win-win. The yellow of the sunflowers added just the right amount of brightness to these darker photos.
Photoshoots at this particular sunflower field are limited to 1 time a year (early summer, may – July) because that’s when the sunflowers are blooming, so when we saw that they were booking time slots to use their field, I knew I wanted to do a photoshoot here.
If you are looking to do a photoshoot in the sunflower field and will be on Oahu from May -July, send a message here, so we can get a time slot!
